RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE PENTECOSTAL OUTREACH CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST ON THE COMPLETION OF THE LARRY M. TRICE SR. OUTREACH CENTER

RESOLUTION #03-67

WHEREAS, the Pentecostal Outreach Church of God in Christ was founded in Three Rivers, Michigan on December 12, 1954 by Elder Dexter and Wilma DeMeyers; and

WHEREAS, the Pentecostal Outreach Church of God in Christ has completed construction of its Larry M. Trice Sr. Outreach Center; and

WHEREAS, this 21,000 square foot building includes a gymnasium and stage capable of holding athletic, dramatic and musical events, as well as academic tutoring, youth sports, mentoring programs, a bookstore, a day care and a commercial kitchen; and

WHEREAS, the Outreach Center is named in memory of Pastor Larry M. Trice Sr. who began serving as Pastor of the church in 1976; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Trice had a vision -- a vision to see the church continue to grow and meet the needs of the community in a much greater way and worked diligently leading the congregation until his death in July of 1999.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby congratulate the Pentecostal Outreach Church of God in Christ on the completion of the Larry M. Trice Sr. Outreach Center.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board appreciates the contributions the Pentecostal Outreach Church of God in Christ has made to the community and the citizens of Ingham County.
